Modern research suggests that properly supported fat metabolism and bile flow play a role in processing environmental burden accumulated over time.

That was back when your digestive fire was burning hot — before the years of babies and forgetting to eat and then overeating. Your fire diminished to some old coals. And now instead of burning it up you're packing it on. This is how you clear it out, clean it up, and rebuild that fire you remember.

A clean slate, a fresh start, a new approach — but not a one and done. This isn't like anything you've done before, and if you fully commit, this won't be the last time. It's best when implemented regularly — so your work builds and changes stick.

What this cleanse is not

Not a meal plan. This isn't about eating healthy or plant-based. You already know how to do that. This is a targeted metabolic protocol that uses specific timing, specific fats, and specific foods to mobilize stored fat and encourage greater metabolic flexibility — allowing your body to rely more efficiently on fat as fuel.

Not clean eating. Eating vegetables and avoiding processed food is baseline. This protocol works at the cellular level — releasing what's stored in fat tissue, resetting digestion and elimination, recalibrating metabolism.

Not a willpower test, juice fast, or false euphoria created from increased stress hormones as your body digests itself.

Not a one-size-fits-all purge. This protocol is modified for women on HRT, thyroid medication, or navigating complex health or stress situations. Intensity is adjusted to protect stability.

Not a punishment or self-abandonment disguised as self-care.

A note about where this comes from 

This cleanse follows a traditional food-based Ayurvedic protocol from the Maharishi Ayurveda lineage — the same classical approach that has been practiced for thousands of years and adapted by contemporary teachers like Jon Douillard.

In Ayurveda, the "food body" (annamaya kosha) is the foundation — the physical vehicle that houses all other systems. When this layer is compromised by accumulated stress, poor digestion, or cellular storage, nothing else can fully function. This protocol — adapted for regular life — resets that foundation.

The benefits don't stop when the cleanse ends. Most women report shifts continuing for 2-3 months after — which is why this is traditionally repeated seasonally for increasing, cumulative results.

Historically, this protocol was practiced by leaders to maintain clear thinking under sustained stress.

I practice this protocol myself — including through surgery recovery, sustained stress, and rebuilding under pressure. I do not teach what I have not embodied. This is a tool for stability — not extremism.

What Happens When You Reset the Foundation 

These are the most common changes women report:

Weight releases naturally — often 3-8 pounds — as inflammation decreases and digestion resets. This is your body letting go of what it no longer needs.

Your metabolism wakes back up — this is your digestive and creative fire returning. Your food will be used as fuel, not filler. You'll feel clean after you eat, even when what you eat isn't clean. A major principle in Ayurveda — how and when matters more than what. You can digest bark when your fire is strong.

Cleanse Structure (14 days)

This cleanse follows a traditional rhythm: prepare, cleanse, complete. You can shorten this to 7-10 days by adjusting the preparation and completion phases.

Day 1-3: Preparation

• Begin tapering caffeine, alcohol or weed (if you use them)

• Simplify meals—warm, cooked, easy to digest 

• Meals at mealtimes only—reduce snacking or replace with fresh fruit

• Start earlier bedtimes

• Reduce processed foods, sugar, and cold/raw foods

• Stock your kitchen with cleanse supplies

• Clear your calendar for the cleanse period

This phase reduces shock to your system and sets you up to actually complete the cleanse.

Day 4-8: Full Cleanse

 • Begin the internal oleation that is the targeted detoxification. About half an hour after waking and your morning water, you take melted ghee — or an alternative fat. This is the engine of the protocol.

• No added fats for the rest of the day. Breakfast is hot cereal. Lunch and dinner are kitchari — Ayurveda's most nourishing and balancing one-pot dish. No snacks, no fresh fruit — dates only if needed.

• Warm water and herbal tea throughout the day wash away the impurities the ghee is loosening and drawing out through lipophilic-mediated detoxification.

• Minimal inputs — less screen time, fewer decisions, quieter days. Your body is doing significant work. Let it.

• At the end of 3-4 days of internal oleation, you purge the accumulated toxins with a cleansing laxative, followed by a rest day. This is the full digestive reset the protocol builds toward.

Day 9-14: Completion

• Rebuild your digestive fire — regular mealtimes, digestive stimulants like fresh ginger, healthy fats returning to your meals. Keep things simple and warm.

•  This phase isn't about restriction. It's about returning to your desired diet with more connection — to mealtimes, to how and when you eat, and to aligning what you eat with what you actually value.

•  The transition out matters as much as the cleanse itself.

FOR SHORTER CLEANSES:

 7 days: 2 days prep / 3 days oleation/ 2 days completion

10 days: 3 days prep / 4 days oleation/ 3 days completion

The core principle stays the same: prepare your system, complete the oleation protocol, then stabilize carefully.

Deeper rest add-on (optional, 3 days) 

If you want to go a little further, you can add a 3-day extension near the end of the cleanse.

This isn't extreme. It's intentional rest.

What the 3 days look like:

• Keep meals very simple and warm (same foods from the cleanse)

• Rest more—go to bed earlier, do less, say no to more things

• Self-massage with warm oil for 10-20 minutes daily, or schedule massages or bodywork

• Hot epsom salts baths or sauna keeping head cool

• Warm water and tea throughout the day

• Gentle walks, yoga and breathwork—no hard workouts

• Treat yourself like you're recovering (because you are)

This is optional. You can do the cleanse without it, or integrate the deeper healing activities during the  full cleanse and still get real benefits
