A preview of ingredients and optional supports for the Ayurvedic Nourishing Cleanse

This page is here so you can review the ingredient lists for the Ayurvedic Nourishing Cleanse before deciding whether to enroll.

You do not need to buy everything. You are welcome to look through the lists first.

These are suggestions, not requirements. Use what you have, buy locally, make your own ghee, organic when reasonable. Consistency matters more than perfection.

Cleanse Essentials

These are the foundational foods and herbs used during the Nourishing Cleanse.

  • Split yellow mung beans known as mung dahl - though ideal they may be substituted for more locally available baby red lentils
  •  White basmati rice
  • Ghee
  • Mild Indian style curry spices - cumin, mustard seeds, coriander, turmeric, ginger, hing
  • Something for cleansing your digestive tract - mild like triphala or deeper  (and time tested traditional) cleansing with castor oil
  • Fresh veggies, ginger and lemon.

The list is intentionally minimal and traditional — focused on warm, cooked nourishment that supports digestion and nervous system regulation.

Options for quantity, brand, and even a convenient cleanse kit from Banyan Botanicals are available on my Amazon Affiliate Cleanse Essentials List, for which I will receive a much appreciated commission. This is for your convenience, not obligation and I support shopping local whenever reasonable.

Supportive Additions

These are optional traditional Ayurvedic supports that are used during cleansing or daily self-care or just to make life easier.

  • Toungue scraper, neti pot, nasya oil
  • Refined sesame oil for self-massage
  • Castor oil packs for abdomen
  • Hot water bottle
  • Instant pot

None of these are required to participate in the Nourishing Cleanse.

They are included for those who want additional support and reflect what I personally use and recommend when appropriate. My favorites are available on my Amazon Affiliate Supportive Additions List for which I will receive a much appreciated commission.

This is for your convenience, not obligation and I support shopping local or direct from Banyan whenever reasonable.
